Massive wave sweeps tourists into the ocean! Spanish holiday island turns into a nightmare

A devastating incident occurred along the western coast of Tenerife, one of the Canary Islands, where four individuals lost their lives after powerful waves pulled them into the sea near Los Gigantes. As rescue efforts continued, another person remains unaccounted for.

The tragedy unfolded shortly after 4 PM in one of the well-known natural pools where many vacationers were enjoying their time on the rocks and in the water. Without warning, a massive wave crashed onto the shore, sweeping several individuals away. According to reports from emergency services, some of those carried off by the current include foreign tourists.

Rescue operations were swift, with a lifeboat helicopter managing to recover one person alive, while another was sadly retrieved deceased from the water. Initially, authorities confirmed the deaths of two men and one woman, aged 35 and 55 respectively. Tragically, another woman was later pronounced dead after being resuscitated and transported to the hospital. As of now, it remains unclear if any Germans were among the victims.
